I've recently become enthralled with a little show on The CW called iZombie starring Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, and David Anders (yeah, the douche from Alias.) Folks tell me it's based on a DC/Vertigo comic book of the same name. I managed to completely miss the comic, so I came into the first broadcast without any preconceptions. It's a pretty unique show that mashes up a lot of genres -- zombies, buddy cop, romance, medical drama, superhero, mystery, comedy, action. It has a bit of a Psyche meets Buffy the Vampire vibe, which is splendid, and I've grown to like the program a lot. I'm still catching up, and haven't started season two yet, but from what I've seen so far, the writing is snappy, and though the police procedural stuff is a bit predictable, the twists we see in Liv's life and circumstances are creative.
As soon as the show launched, I was hoping it would catch on and get enough traction to garner some T-shirt design ideas. Once the show was picked up for a second season, we started searching for some winning merchandise, and I was thrilled to get my hands on a line of iZombie tees. We also created an original one called "Needs More Hot Sauce." We'd love for you to buy any of the featured designs, but as always, if you have no preference, buy an original (we make a few more bucks that way.) The originals have more color choices, so that's an even better reason to slap your hard-earned cash down.
